Aston and Nechells
Local History Group
It is planned for this group to meet at South Aston URC on a specified Tuesday of each month at 2.00pm. look out for the announcements (see below).
Everyone is welcome and a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit will be available.
The purpose of the group is to explore the rich history of the various districts of Birmingham and local neighbourhoods. This will be with the aid of special speakers or by our leader Dave Kendrick leading us in our discoveries via visual aids.
We will also explore the possibility of undertaking visits to local historic buildings or sites similar to the very successful visit we made to Aston Hall in 2012.
