Christmas Fayre

In recent years this event has been held on a Saturday morning but for reasons beyond our control we could not hold it on a Saturday this year.
So it was arranged to hold in on Friday afternoon. This was a step into the unknown and generated some nervousness amongst the organisers.
But I have to report that it was a resounding success!
One example of that success was that Jackie had to close her 'Lucky Dip' stall after not much more than an hour because she was "sold out".
Peter and Ann's leaflet campaign brought in the punters and parents and children from our neighbouring school were able to join us just before closing.
I made sure that no one was in any doubt as to who the lucky winners were in the various raffles via stentorian announcements.
At the end of that day just over £400 had been made. There will be probably other money raised from peripheral activities. I did notice that Cathy was sporting some mistletoe in her hat.........
